For thousands of years Indian craftsman have been known around the world for creating the most beautiful patterned fabrics. From one generation to the next they have learned to perfect the art of blockprinting. After carving out the block by hand, it is used to create a repetitive pattern by dipping in paint and stamping it on the fabric. The age-old technique requires artistry, skill and a lot of patience.
